Facing History

As one of our programs, HREC offers this field-learning program, which involves taking students to the Topaz Japanese American WWII Internment Camp near Delta, Utah.

Students are given a personal tour of the Topaz facility by Jane Beckwith, historian and Topaz Museum Board President.  This program makes history come alive as students are confronted with the legacy of Topaz and the impact that racism and segregation can have when formalized in national policy.
