The Forgiveness Journey, a documentary film on forgiveness will premiere at a special film release fundraiser on February 25, 2015 at 7pm at the Broadway Centre Cinemas, in Salt Lake City.
The long awaited documentary film about stories of forgiveness, compassion and second chances, features interviews with Carla Kelley, the founder and director of HREC, Dr. Forrest Crawford of Weber State University, and Marina Cantacuzino, the founder and director of The Forgiveness Project.
The film is a look into the difficult process of forgiveness, both self-forgiveness and forgiving others. The film strives to answer a variety of questions: What happens emotionally and spiritually when we forgive? Is every act forgivable? Do I need to be religious or spiritual to be able to forgive? Doesn’t forgiving mean that I condone the harmful act? What is the new “science” behind forgiveness? And more.

“Forgiveness is not always easy. At times, it feels more painful than the wound we suffered, to forgive the one that inflicted it. And yet, there is no peace without forgiveness.”
